Ōki Izumi is delighted to announce that the Japanese composer Yasuko Yamaguchi, based in Düsseldorf, has composed a piece inspired by Ōki Izumi’s works, entitled “Schattenlicht” (“Ombraluce”), an evocative composition for violin, viola and cello. The title echoes that of the exhibition “Ombraluce”, a solo exhibition by Ōki Izumi held at the Galleria Civica in Palazzo Todeschini in Desenzano del Garda (BS) in 1999, curated by Giovanni Stipi and Maria Pia Bagnariol.
Listening to the piece, Ōki Izumi reflects on all the different facets of glass.
